The Indian Innovation Lab

Santa Fe ISD and the Santa Fe Texas Education Foundation joined forces to bring the Indian Innovation Lab to life — a project built on collaboration, creativity, and community support. Input from teachers, administrators, staff, students, and parents helped shape this innovative mobile learning experience.

Generous support from our donors made this vision possible.

Bringing Learning to Life

The Indian Innovation Lab expands access to literacy and STEM education across Santa Fe ISD and the community.

  • Summer Programs: The Lab joins the district’s Summer Reading and STEM Camps, offering hands-on learning opportunities.

  • Community Outreach: The bus travels throughout Santa Fe, providing books and STEM activities that enrich classroom learning.

  • During the School Year: The Lab rotates among all five campuses, offering materials and lessons tailored to each grade level.

Looking Ahead

Future plans include involving Santa Fe High School CTE students pursuing teaching and STEM pathways. They’ll gain valuable volunteer hours and real-world experience while supporting Lab events.
