Introducing...Illumination Awards!
Grants for Great Ideas has been transformed into ILLUMINATION AWARDS! Our goal is to be a bigger and better resource for you during these challenging economic times. Our Committee got to work and transformed this program in just a few months with support of SFISD Leadership, a new name, a new logo, new policies & procedures! We are READY to ILLUMINATE your world!
Applications are due the 10th of every month in September, October, November, December, January, February, March, April, and May.
The Committee will meet to ensure all applications meet our criteria. The Policies & Procedures are available by clicking the button below. It is your responsibility to make sure that you are adhering to these for the committee to consider your project.
Applicants will be contacted to schedule their IN PERSON presentation! Include your students, invite their family members to watch, and make it your best representation of your Illumination Award idea to our Committee! Oftentimes, people struggle with the right words on paper. It can be hard to exude enthusiasm about your project on paper. Our Committee is committed to meeting monthly (dates are TBD) for these presentations and deliberations so that we can provide resources on a monthly basis, instead of once a year. Additionally, many of you may not be prepared to write an application or have an idea for a need by September 30th (former process), but come February you have the biggest project idea and need and have to sit on it until the next round of applications open.
Just like before, the new ILLUMINATION AWARDS are for your projects over $500.
If you did not submit your Final Report Form from last year's grant, you must do so to be considered for an Illumination Awards in 2024-25 (click the button below).
